Prosecutor Tareen freed, reaches Quetta

QUETTA: Prosecutor General Balochistan Abdul Wasay Tareen was freed by his abductors and he has now reached Quetta. According to details Prosecutor General Batista Abdul Wasay Tareen was abducted on his way to Islamabad from Quetta on February 27.

He was freed by his abductors at Draband area of Dera Ismail Khan last night. His brother Sajid Tareen Advocate told that he was recovered from Draband area between Zhob and Dera Ismail Khan and he has been brought to his home.

Wasay Tareen told media men after his arrival in Zhob that four armed men abducted him on February 27 at gun point. He was taken to deserted place. He was given inhuman treatment. He said his vehicle was entered at FC check post along Zhob-D I Khan highway.

He said his release is result of result of tribal efforts and no ransom was paid for his release. He said lawyers, media and tribal elders played important role in his release.

Meanwhile Balochistan Association has announced to call off its strike following recovery of Prosecutor General. Lawyers boycotted courts for 20 days for his recovery.
