Naudero, Sindh: On the call of ‘Save Education Committee’ a large number of parents, civil society members and students held a protest demonstration in front of the main gate of Government Boys Higher Secondary School here on Tuesday against the forced closure of school due to boycott of classes by the teachers in Larkana district.

The protest was also participated by various political parties and social welfare organizations. The protesters holding banners, placards and posters demanded action against the teachers’ unions/associations responsible for boycott.

Talking to media Hameed Soomro, Ghulam Asghar Narejo, Asif Khichi, Farhan Bhatti, Maqsood Mirani, Shahab Samejo and other protestors demanded immediate ban on a teachers association which has spoiled the education system. They added that a security personnel is getting Rs25000per month and is fighting for the country at border but a teacher gets more than one hundred thousand rupees per month but still involved in boycotting his duties with impunity.

They said that the dispute between officers of revenue department and a teacher is their personal business wherein teachers union has nothing to do. They further said that for last 15 days a boycott is being forced on the students and classrooms are locked up, without any action by the government.

The protesters appealed to the Sindh Chief Minister and Senior Minister for Education to take immediate action to save the already falling education sector in Sindh province.
