QUETTA: Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan Syed Sultan Bayazeed has asked political parties to approach judiciary for seeking justice instead of staging dharna and protests. Those maligning Election Commission are unaware of facts.
This he said while speaking to newsmen at his office here Monday.
He said elections were held on 50 out of 51 general seats in Balochistan Assembly. Results of 43 seats have been declared while results have been stopped for seven constituencies on request for recounting of votes and approaching to courts.
These would be declared within week.
Provincial Election Commissioner said for clean election process work was being carried out for two years. For satisfaction of voters number of polling stations was increased and army was deployed at the sensitive polling stations.
In view of law and order situation ballot papers and election material was airlifted to some areas by helicopters. Election Commission had completed all arrangements by on its part.
Referring to a complaint about recovery of ballot papers from dust bins in some areas he said Returning Officers had already reported that some ballot papers were missing. These ballot papers he added were missed by people themselves.
