PSQCA decided to shift automobile division from Lahore to Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority PSQCA) here Tuesday decided to shift its automobile division from Lahore to Karachi to facilitate car manufacturers.

This was decided in a meeting held with a delegation of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association PAMA) at PSQCA Head Office here with Director General of PSQCA Pir Bakhsh Jamali in chair. The delegation headed by Abdul Waheed Khan of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association discussed the issues about a meeting of National Standards Committee NSC) held at Lahore and showed their concern about the reconstitution of NSC and minutes of its meeting. They also spoke on standardization work of Automobile Division of SDC/PSQCA which was shifted at Lahore. The delegation also discussed about the marking fee and suggested fixing it on yearly basis.

The Director General, PSQCA ordered to nullify the decision of the meeting of NSC and also instructed to shift the Automobile Division from Lahore to Karachi along with all the relevant records. He advised the PAMA delegation to submit their suggestions about the marking fee.
