Peshawar: Dissident workers of Pakistan TehreekeInsaf have announced a joint candidate to contest election independently from the constituency PK3.

Addressing at a news conference here at press club on Thursday, the PTI workers said they had unanimously decided to vote
Ashraf Ali Khattak an independent candidate from PK3 after ignoring leadership to ideological people in distribution of ticket. On the occasion, the party unions and tehsil level presidents and office bearers were present.

While speaking on the occasion, Ashraf Ali Khattak said the party parliamentary board had completely ignored merit in distribution of tickets in the constituency. He said the board was followed policy of favoritism and nepotism, even those people elected in intraparty election not awarded tickets.

He held the party provincial leadership responsible for unfair distribution of tickets. He said a group of opportunist people hijacked the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. But, he said they would launch a movement against the opportunist after election to expel them from the party.

Owing to indifferent attitude of party leadership, Mr Khattak said that the electioneering campaign was also slowed down in PK3 for party chairman Imran Khan, who is contesting election from NA1. He said the board decision was created a great unrest among the workers.

We will not accept any impartial decision and unfair allotment of tickets, he said.

The dissident workers vowed they would only vote to Ashraf Ali Khattak from PK3 to defeat opponent candidate of PTI Javed Nasim. They also reiterated their resolve to support the Chairman Imran Khan and would carry out a campaign on NA1.
