PUNJAB GOVT SPENDING RS3.38B ON UPLIFT OF TRIBAL AREAS OF DG KHAN, RAJANPUR

The Punjab government is spending three point three eight billion rupees on the uplift of tribal areas of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur districts.

A spokesperson of Tribal Areas Development Project told our Multan representative that 63 schemes are underway under the project.

He said that the schemes included construction of small dams, provision of water for drinking and agricultural purposes, installation of tubewells, construction of roads and jeepable tracks and digging deep wells.

He told that under a community development scheme, 1,029 solar panels of 50 Watts have been provided to residents of tribal areas.
