QUETTA: Senior PPP leader Senator Raza Rabbani has said Balochistan problem would be resolved when federal government put federation institutions under the provincial government or solution would not be possible. PPP would support provincial government for resolution of Balochistan problem.
Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, President PPP Balochistan Sadiq Umrani, Member Central Committee Javaid Ahmed and Spokesman to CM Jan Buledi were also present.
Raza Rabbani said workers of all the political parties and office bearers supported for passage of 18 th amendment. Efforts f Dr Malik Baloch are appreciable. We could not pass this amendment without his and his party’s support.
He said 50 percent of natural resources are controlled by Federal government and remaining 50 percent are owned by provinces. Earlier these were 72 percent with Centre. After passage of 18 th amendment these powers were transferred to the provinces.
He said PPP government had placed FC under the control of provincial government but it could not be implemented. He said federal agencies including FC should be under the control of provincial government. Unless it is done Balochistan problem would not be resolved.
He said he enquired after the girl students injured in Women University explosion at CMH here today. He said his morale was high to see these girls who braced the situation.
He said there is time federal government should take clear decisions about Balochistan without any fear. He said PPP believes Central and provincial governments whatever decisions they would take we would support them openly in the parliament and outside. We want supremacy of Parliament and rule of law.
Answering a question he said time has come for resolving Balochistan problem. Decisive steps should be taken for this or no solution would be found.
