Sanitation staff kept on high alert

KARACHI: Sanitation staff has been kept on high alert to tackle rains situation in the metropolis. According to a release, Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District East Karachi, Samiuddin Siddiqui, visited different areas of the city soon after rainfall in the city and reviewed the situation. He was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Naeemul Haq.

Siddiqui visited University Road, Old Sabzi Mandi, Jail Chowrangi, Rashid Minhas Road, Stadium Road, Jamshed Zone and other areas and issued directions for draining out rainwater in proper way.

Rainwater was drained out through pumps on National Stadium, Usmania Restaurant and other areas, while brushing and sweeping were also carried out.
