Saudi Arabia allocates 25,000 heads of sacrificial meat to Gaza Strip

Makkah The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Project For Utilization Of Hady and Adahi has announced that 13 trucks carrying 25,000 heads of sacrificial meat are ready to set off from Makkah to the Gaza Strip in Palestine, in coincidence with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Head of the Hajj Meat Utilization Committee Dr. Bandar Hajjar explained that the meat will be distributed among the needy in the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs there.

The IsDB president said that the project has taken the necessary measures and precautions to ensure the delivery of the sacrificial meat in such a way to preserve its safety and suitability for human consumption. He pointed to coordination, in this regard, with the competent authorities in Egypt to facilitate the transport and delivery of the meat through the Saudi port of Dhiba to the Egyptian port of Safajah towards the Palestinian side of Gaza’s Rafah border crossing.

It is noteworthy that half a million Gazans will benefit from this meat, as per a specific distribution mechanism.
