Saudi Arabia to host Islamic conference on Afghan peace

A two-day international conference of Muslim scholars on peace and stability in Afghanistan will be held in Jeddah and Makkah from tomorrow.

It has been arranged by Saudi Arabia and Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The conference is aimed at assisting efforts to achieve peace and stability in Afghanistan and condemn terrorism and violent extremism in all their forms and manifestations, within framework of the teachings of Islam.

In the final session of the conference at Makkah, a declaration will be adopted on consolidation of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
