SC: CJ admires role of legal fraternity in lawyer’s movement

Islamabad: A 17 member delegation of District Bar Associations, Sialkot, Daska and Samryaal headed by Malik Mushtaq Ahmed Khokhar, President, District Bar Association, Sialkot, Ch. Faqeer Sain, President Tehsil Bar Association, Daska and Rana Qaisar Akhtar, President Tehsil Bar Association, Samryaal and comprising other office bearers and members of the Bars called on Chief Justice Mr. Justice. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday in Supreme Court.

Talking to the delegation, Chief Justice said that Bar is an integral part of the judicial system and it always plays an effective role for strengthening and supporting the judiciary.

He admired the role of the legal fraternity in Lawyer’s Movement in which they stood firm during the Judicial Crises and struggled hard to bring rule of law in the society through peaceful efforts.

The members of Bars appreciated struggle and efforts of Chief Justice of Pakistan for rule of law, supremacy of constitution and independence of judiciary. The delegation assured the Chief Justice of their full support and cooperation. They invited the Chief Justice to visit District Bar Association, Sialkot.
