SC seeks report from Police on Muzaffargarh rape case

Islamabad: The Supreme Court (SC) has sought investigation report from police in ten days about self-immolation of a girl student in Muzaffargarh. The court gave the directions while hearing a suo moto case in on Monday.

A three member bench led by Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani was hearing the case. During the hearing, Punjab IG told the court that five persons have given evidence relating to the Muzaffargarh girl rape committed, while a case has been registered against the SHO for negligence. Supreme Court in remarks said that when police was present, why it led to the suicide.
