SCCI rejects recent massive increase in POL pricesSeptember 2, 2013
Sialkot: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry SCCI has strongly rejected the recent increase in POL prices by the federal government. In a press release issued here on Monday SCCI President Sheikh Abdul Majid has expressed grave concern over this increase in POL prices. He termed this increase as cutthroat for Sialkot industries.
SCCI President also expressed disappointment over this nasty situation, urging the federal government to withdraw this massive increase in electricity tariff to boom up the country’s industrial sector and boost the exports.
Meanwhile, export-oriented Sialkot city’s other main trade bodies including Pakistan Readymade Garments Exporters and Manufacturers Association PRGMEA, Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan SIMAP, Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Pakistan PGMEA, Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Pakistan PSGMEA and Markazi Anjuman Tajraan Sialkot have strongly rejected the recent increase in POL prices by the federal government. They have demanded immediate withdrawal of this increase in POL prices in the larger interest of the national business community.
