Shikarpur: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) leader MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh has criticized the performance of provincial government of Sindh and blamed it for recent deaths of children in Thar Desert area due to malnutrition.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday evening, he charged that the people of Sindh generally and of district Tharparkar particularly were being deprived of their fundamental, democratic and human rights.

Expressing sympathies with people living in the drought-hit areas of Tharparkar district he asked to government to facilitate them. He criticized what he called step-motherly attitude adopted by Sindh Government towards the Thari people, saying people were dying of hunger and lack of basic health facilities.

He demanded of Sindh government to supply food, medicines and other relief items for the troubled Thari people on emergency basis.
