Shazia Marri gets warm welcome after poll victory

HYDERABAD: The Newly elected MNA of PPP Shazia Atta Marri was warmly welcomed by the party workers, people of District Matiari and Sanghar at Khyber point of National Highway while going to District Sanghar first time after her victory in by election. She was brought to the reception point in a large vehicular rally, where people in thousands number welcomed her amid slogans of Jeay Bhutto, Jeay Benazir.

Addressing the gathering at her reception point at Khyber Sunday evening, she said that her historical victory under the banner of PPP in by-election had proved that Sanghar district was the strong hold of PPP. She said that the people of Sanghar had brought a revolution and got themselves free from the clutches of the PMLF.

She said that her opponent candidate and his supporters attempt either to win the election through rigging or bulldoze the Polling station through force of weapons but instead of their such criminal act, people voted to PPP and many such armed leaders of opponent party were arrested with weapons. She said that her opponents even snatched the CNIC Cards from the minority voters to suppress the PPP support which according to her was condemnable act.

While talking about the national issues, The newly elected MNA Shazia Marri said that she had made commitment with herself and people of Sindh to stood against any kind of political violence, violation of people’s specially democratic right.

She praised the political vision of President Asif Ali Zardari and said that his policy of reconciliation remained very much successful resulting in restoration of 1973 constitution, bringing provincial autonomy, New NFC award and completing five year tenure of the government to strengthen and streamline the democracy. She said that PPP government had launched big power projects such as coal power project and wind energy project at Jhampir district Thatta, which according to her, were sufficient to eradicate the menace of load shedding from the country.

She stressed upon the need for giving more priority to these project to resolve the issues of energy crises to boost up national economy and end the unrest among people.
