SHC CJ opens new court building in Mehar

Mehar, Sindh: Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Mr. Justice Musheer Alam inaugurated on Saturday new court building at Mehar town of Dadu district. He also planted a sapling in the court premises.

Speaking at a reception hosted by Mehar Bar Association on this occasion, CJ efforts are underway to establish a system that could dispense justice to the poor at their door step. “The people had complaints about judiciary but now there is improvement in the working of courts,” he noted.

Justice Musheer Alam said judges are being appointed on merit basis and added that only merit can bring improvement in the system.

CJ also talked about substandard work in development projects especially with reference to court buildings and informed that committees are being constituted at Taluka and district level to keep check on quality of work and in case of substandard work and delay, action would be taken against contractors and officials.

Bar president Mazhar Lashari and others also spoke.
