SHC issues notices on petition of Sikander Jatoi against his name on ECL

Karachi: The Sindh High Court SHC on Thursday issued notice to secretary ministry of Interior, Director General of Federal Investigation Agency FIA and other officials in a petition of the father of Shahrukh Jatoi, prime suspect in the Shahzeb murder case, against restrictions placed on his out of country travel.

Shahrukh along with three other accused Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur and their cook Ghulam Murtaza Lashari has been charged with killing of Shahzeb Khan after a brawl in DHA Phase-V area Karachi on December 24, 2012.

The petitioner, Sikander Ali Jatoi submitted that he was put behind bars in same case registered at Darakhshan police station and released later. He maintained that he was no more required by the concerned trial court as allegations on him have been declined.

Citing secretary ministry of interior, Director Generals of Federal Investigation Agency FIA and FIA Immigration and SP Investigation South and SHO Darakhshan police station as respondents, he prayed to court to order removal of his name from ECL and providing him passport.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Mushir Alam issued notice to the respondents and put off the hearing of the case to date in office.
