Sindh CM grieved at SI and other killings

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while taking serous notice of killings of innocent people including sub-inspector of police Muhammad Amin in Karachi that took place on Saturday, has directed IG Police and Additional IGP Karachi to take stern action against perpetrator and bring them to justice.

He reiterated his firm resolve to continue ongoing targeted operation against terrorists, target killers, extortionists and anti-social elements until the elimination of the last criminal.

Sindh chief minister said that Karachi is hub for economic and commercial activities and restoration of law and order was the top priority of the provincial government. “Karachi will be made once again the city of lights, he remarked.

Lauding the performance and achievements of police and rangers in ongoing targeted operation, Shah ordered further activating intelligence network and keeping a strict eye on the criminal elements.

Sindh chief minister directed IG Police to increase police patrolling, ensure strict checking at exit and entrance points of city besides beefing up security at main roundabouts, roads, mosques, imam bargahs and business and commercial centers of the metropolis.

He also issued directives for strictly implementing security plan constituted for Muharram-ul-Haram and ensuring fool proof security for mourning processions and congregations across Sindh. He appealed to general public for extending full support and cooperation to law enforcing agencies to foil conspiracies of anti-state elements who wanted to disturb the peace.

Shah said that such elements would not be tolerated at any cost and their nefarious designs would never succeed.

He stressed upon the religious scholars to play their role for inter-sect harmony.

CM Sindh expressed his profound grief over the Saturday’s killings and condoled with the heirs of the victims.
