Sindh CM seeks report on city violence

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while taking serious notice of hand grenade attack and firing incidents in different localities of the metropolis, including Lyari, has sought a report from Inspector General Police Sindh.

Expressing his grief over the killing of innocent people, he directed the law enforcement agencies to take concrete and coordinated measures to ensure the peace and tranquillity in the city. He also asked the IGP Sindh to immediately arrest culprits involved in killing of innocent people and to initiate across the board action against terrorist and anti-state
elements.

The chief minister said for restoration of law and order provincial government was acting upon zero tolerance policy and nobody would be allowed to disturb the peace. He directed the IGP and DG Rangers to enhance the patrolling, deploying more law enforcement personals in disturbed areas and expediting the intelligence sharing net work to curb the criminal activities and ensuring the safety and protection of lives and properties of the people.
