Siraj says we are workers and servants of masses

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister and Parliamentary Leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq has said that traders community was the pillar of our economy and hence the administration would not be allowed to harass them in any respect.

He while taking cognizance of the complaint about presence of Bhatta Mafia, assured that prompt and strict action would be taken to discourage it and even a single such occurrence would not be tolerated. He further assured that government would solve all other problems of the traders community on priority basis.

He was talking to a delegation of Anjuman-e-Tajiran at Markaz-e-Islami Peshawar. The Provincial General Secretary of JI Shabbir Ahmad Khan was also present while the delegation included Malik Mehr Elahi, Shaukat Ali, Israrullah, Ghufran Jehangir, Haji Mujibur Rahman, Haji Ibrahim, Atif Khalil and presidents of various bazaars.

Siraj said that provincial government was endeavouring to revive economic activities and establish industrial base in the terror and backwardness hit province.

He said his government would create traders friendly environment in every city and town of the province. He said concrete steps were being taken to restore the past glory of Peshawar as city of gardens and gateway of Central Asian Trade.

He assured that the green Peshawar project would be completed soon with initial fund of one billion rupees that would ameliorate lot of Peshawarites while the historical as well as touristic importance of this city would increase manifold.

He said traders and investors would be given special incentives to encourage large scale investment and increase employment opportunities and thus people specially youth in future did not bother to travel to other cities and countries for jobs. He said the present rulers in KPK were not ‘Waderas’ but workers and servants of the masses.

He assured that the demand of traders to increase Auqaf property rents not more than 25 % would be considered sympathetically. The traders delegation thanked the Senior Minister for taking personal interest in to their problems and addressing their all grievances.
