Six killed in Karachi violence

Karachi: Six people were killed in separate incidents of firing in different areas of the city on Tuesday. The bullet riddled body of a man was found from Malir River, Memon Goth, Malir Town, within the remit of Memon Goth police station. The victim was identified as Hussain Khan, son of Hassan Khan.

The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center JPMC for medicolegal formalities. Police said the victim was the resident of same area where incident took place. They said the victim received four bullets in his upper torso.

Separately, two bullet riddled bodies of youngsters were found from Shah Latif Town area of the city in the wee hours of Tuesday. One of the victims was identified as Fawad 16, son of Adnan, while the identity of other could not be ascertained yet. The bodies were moved to JPMC for autopsies.

Shah Latif police said the victims were the resident of Colony Gate, Shahrah-e-Faisal area, adding they were first kidnapped and later their bodies were dumped after being killed. Police have registered FIR number 357/2013 under section 302 and 34 against the accused on the behalf of the victims’€™ families.

Similarly, a 45yearold man, Akbar, son of Yousuf, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Gulshan-e-Bihar Colony, Orangi Town. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital ASH for a postmortem. In other incidents, two bodies of men, bearing tortures marks were found from Northern Bypass, Surjani Town, within the precincts of Surjani police station. The identity
of the victims could not be ascertained yet. The bodies were moved to ASH for medicolegal formalities.
