Sports: Beach Games: Karachi Beach Games postponed

Karachi: Due to volatile law and order situation in the city, Sindh Sports Board Karachi Beach Games, which was scheduled to begin from Saturday, would now begin from today Sunday here at Clifton Beach.

Karachi City Sports Association KCSA is organizing the event, which would now conclude on Monday.

The organizers issued a statement that it was not possible for athletes to come and participate in the event under prevailing law and order situation in the city.

The disciplines in the event include 12 male and nine female events. The male disciplines include mini marathon, volleyball, tennis, kabaddi, judo, sepaktakraw, wrestling, biathlon, special persons events, Jujitsu, two traditional Sindhi games – vanjvati and malakhra are also included in male sports.

Meanwhile, female events include mini marathon, football, tennis, judo, sepaktakraw, volleyball, special events, jujitsu and arm wrestling.
