Sports: Cricket: PVCA chief condole Shahid’s demise

Karachi: Fawad Ijaz Khan, Chairman Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association PVCA has condoled the sad demise of former Test cricketer Shahid Israr. Shahid Israr was the founder secretary of PVCA from April 1998 till July 2003.

Shahid had a bypass surgery last month and he breathed his last on Monday morning at the Aga Khan Hospital. Shahid, 63 years of age is survived by wife and two daughters.

Shahid’s younger brother Rashid Israr is a former first class cricketer. Shahid played one Test match against New Zealand and 31 first class matches.

Fawad has stated that PVCA has lost three of its very prominent officials during the last four months, including Bashir Ahmed Basti and Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Former Vice Chairman PVCA and now Former Secretary Shahid Israr.

Chairman PCB Ch. Zaka Ashraf and PCB COO Subhan Ahmed have also condoled the demise of Shahid.
