Strict action to be taken against timber mafia: KP Forest Ministry

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Forestry Environment and Wildlife Department Syed Muhammad Ishtiaq Umar said that strict action will be taken against the timber mafia in the province.

Welcoming a delegation of journalists from Islamabad, at Garhi Chandan forest in Peshawar he said the Billion Tree Afforestation Project is a step forward towards attracting tourism and boosting the country’s economy.

He said the project also generated numerous opportunities of employment for the local people.
