Teachers demand promotion

Ratodero: Teachers of Larkana district have demanded their promotions,

The High School Teachers (HSTs) of Larkana district held press conference at Larkana Press Club demanding promotions.

HSTs Manzoor Mangi, Fazal Muhammad Saryo Jameel Kazi, Sanaullah Agani, Shamsuddin Tagar, Ghulam Nabi Mangi and others said that they were appointed during 1988, 1989 and 1990 as HSTs (BS-16) but till to date they are working in the same scale which amounts to depriving them of their just right and added that it is also against their basic rights.

They further said that 33 Government Boys Schools of the district are running without proper gazetted head masters and said that female schools are excluding this list. These schools include Government Boys High School, Garhi Khuda Bux, Doki, Badah, Masudero, Shaikh Zayyed High School, Larkana, Gajanpur (Larkana), Dhamrah, Saint Joseph High School, Mahotta, Khanwah, Wasayo Bhutto, Moen-Jo-Daro, Karani, Mad Bahoo, Gabar Massan High School, Garello, Bakrani, Khairodero, Phulpota, Naundero and other schools.
They further said that the boys’ high school of Sindh education ministers’ home village Akil is also running without proper head master. They said that 33 vacancies are lying vacant since years but due to corruption in education department and influence of political persons they are occupied by their henchmen.

They said said that promotions of their juniors in other districts have been made up to 1993 but Larkana district HST promotions are still lingering since 1988 as they are treated step-motherly by the corrupt bureaucracy.

They appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to intervene and take suo moto action of the injustices done to the teaching community of Sindh.
