Naudero, Sindh: The Operation Theater of the Eye Department of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, has become almost unusable for surgeons as it was established 40 years back and not upgraded.

Dr. Safiuallah Abbasi, Medical Superintendent of the hospital has written a letter to the Health Secretary informing him that the existing theatre is 40 years old hence incapable of coping with the ever increasing rush of patients as the doctors feel great difficulties in operating the patients, children under general anaesthesia and adults under general anaesthesia simultaneously.

He has further said in the letter that the suitable plot is already available adjacent to existing Eye Department of the Hospital and the proposal is also already pending with the Health Department since March 2013 but nothing has yet come out resulting sufferings of the poor needy patients requiring eye sight.

People of Larkana have demanded of the Health Department authorities to immediately approve the scheme for their benefit.
