Three killed, 10 injured in Karachi mishaps

KARACHI: Three people were killed and 10 others injured in separate mishaps across the city on Friday. According to rescue sources, a vehicle overturned due to over-speeding on Superhighway, within the limits of Gadap, killing three people and wounding several others. The deceased were identified as Manzoor, Khuda Baksh and Nazir and were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. Meanwhile, the injured were shifted to hospital.

In another incident, a speedy car hit a motorcycle at Numaish Chowrangi, injuring four people. The injured were identified as Mohammad Ali, 20, son of Hashim, Ali, 14, son of Iqbal, Waqas, 22, son of Qayyum, and Javed, 20, son of Idrees. The injured were residents of Liaquatabad and were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Unidentified men opened firing in Ibrahim Hyderi, injuring two people. They were identified as Shakir and Yasir. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

In another incident, a woman, Fatima, 30, daughter of Usman, sustained bullet wounds in Gulshan-i-Qadri area of Malir. She was shifted to the JPMC.

Another woman, Amna, 35, daughter of Mohammad Hanif, was injured from the firing of unidentified men near Khushal Khan Chowk in Machhar Colony. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.

Separately, unidentified men opened fire on a 50-year-old man, Ilyas, in Millat Town area of Malir, seriously wounding him. He was brought to the JPMC for treatment.

A person, Amanullah, 40, son of Shah Mohammad, was injured from the firing of unidentified men near Super Highway. He was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

An unidentified man, aged 25, was injured in Bhittai Colony. He was shifted to the JPMC.
