Three killed, eight injured in Nawabshah clash

Nawabshah, Sindh: At least three persons died and 8 other injured when activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM and Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarian PPPP clashed near District Returning Officer’s DRO office here on Sunday.

Police said both group clashed after exchanging slogans. They used firearms and 10 people were injured, who were rushed to Peoples Medical College Hospital. At least two persons died due to bullet wounds, said hospital sources.

Later, a man was gunned down in firing at Gharibabad locality further fanning the tension.

District administration sought help from law enforcing agencies to control law and order in the town. Contingents of LEAs were seen patrolling on streets when this news filed.
