TMA acquires 25 acres land near Rarra for garbage dumping

Sialkot: The Sialkot Tehsil Municipal Administration TMA has acquired as many as 25 acres of land near village Ratta-Sialkot for dumping the garbage of Sialkot city. Administrator TMA Sialkot Tajamal Abbas Rana told media persons that this land would soon made a dumping point.

He added that 750 sweepers collect 242 tons of garbage daily from the Sialkot city and they dump this huge quantity of garbage to the private lands of the people in villages Kaakeywali, Rohail Garha, Langriyaanwali and other surrounding areas of Sialkot city through 125 vehicles daily.

Earlier, there was no dumping point to dump garbage due to which the sanitation staff has been suffering from great difficulties. He said that having TMA’s n dumping point was the need of the day and the TMA was planning to establish its own dumping point by purchasing as many as 25acres of land at village Ratta in outskirts of Sialkot city.
