Turkish Consul General visit Greenwich University

KARACHI: Turkish Consul General, Murat M Onart, visited Greenwich University and met the students and faculty members who are visiting Turkey from 22 to 30 June 18, 2013, for their socio-cultural and educational tour.

Seema Mughal, Vice Chancellor of Greenwich University, also attended the meeting. Nine-day tour is aimed to give exposure and confidence to students as well as an opportunity for them to learn how tourism and industrialization has contributed in the economic progress of Turkey.

Addressing the students, Turkish Consul General, Murat M Onart said that Turkey and Pakistan enjoys good political, cultural and economic relationship. This tour will be very beneficial for the students, as they will share the experience of growth which Turkey has achieved in various fields especially in corporate sector.

He further said that the Turkish dramas are very popular in Pakistan and after sometime it would help the local drama industry to learn from each others’ experiences. A batch of twenty students and two faculty members from Greenwich University will leave for Turkey on Saturday. During the Socio, cultural and educational tour the students will visit several cities of Turkey including Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Konya and Antalya. Students will prepare a documentary of their visit to share their awe-inspiring experiences in great parts of Turkey.

On the occasion the Vice Chancellor of Greenwich University gave university`s shield to the Consul General Of Turkey.
