Two men torturing woman remanded to police

Ratodero: Ratodero Court on Friday remanded two people accused of torturing a 45-year-old woman to police custody for five days. The accused Bachal Khan and Ghulam Mohammad were blamed for beating up the woman, Peerani, with sticks. Five other people have also been accused of torturing the woman. They include Wajid, Hisam, Abdullah, Muhammad Bachal and Mola Dad. The cause behind the incident was stated to be a land dispute in village Faiz Muhammad Jeho within the jurisdiction of Naudero Police Station over a land dispute.

The victim suffered several injuries during torture. The injured woman has been admitted to Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana.

The victim’s brother, Raza Muhammad Jeho, told PPI that the accused were criminals and were very influential, therfore, police was hesitant to apprehend them. He said that the accused were threatening to kill him if he refuse to withdraw FIR from Naundero police station. He demanded of police to immediately provide protection to him.
