Two persons died of scorching heat

Sialkot: As many as two persons on Tuesday died of scorching heat in Sialkot district. Reportedly, sizzling hot weather, today, took life of Bashir Hussain 47 in village Bajwat and Ghulam Rasul 51 in Pasrur city.

The mercury today shot up to 43 degrees Celsius in Sialkot district, as the hot winds also continuously blew. All the city roads, bazaars, markets and business centers, today, wore a deserted look, as the people, today, spent another day of agony while staying indoors preferably in such hot and muggy weather.

On the other hand, the people in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur, Satrah, Chawinda, Badiana and surrounding areas, today, spent a day of great ordeal, as they experienced 22 hours long, the worst ever in this summer season, power load shedding on Tuesday, as the Gepco stepped up the duration of electricity load shedding from the existing 20 hours in such hot and muggy weather.

Almost all the social, business and civic activities remained badly paralyzed due to this, what the local people and traders said, unbearable 22 hours long load shedding of electricity here.
