Aden, (IINA) – The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has donated ten Toyota Landcruiser 4X4 ambulances to the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Yemen as part of its continuous support for the health sector in the country, WAM reported.

The ERC said that a second batch of ten ambulances would be delivered to the WHO Country Office in Yemen next month.

WHO representative in Yemen praised the UAE for extending much-needed basic requirements for the fragile health sector in Yemen.

He also thanked that UAE for its contributions to support the organization’s humanitarian programs and enhance its resilience to address challenges facing Yemeni governorates.

The ERC signed last month a memorandum of understanding with WHO for supporting the health sector in Yemen.
