UN Geneva Office to host event to highlight Saudi humanitarian efforts in Yemen

Geneva The King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief (KSRelief), in coordination with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, is organizing an event at the United Nations Office at Geneva on Tuesday.

The event will highlight the role of Saudi Arabia in capacity building of Yemen’s government institutions, strengthening local structures to deliver services, creating job opportunities and improving livelihoods.

The event will be chaired by Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSRelief Dr Abdullah Al Rabeeah, with the participation of UAE State Minister for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimi; UN Undersecretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock; and Assistant Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP) Valerie Guarnieri, as well as representatives of a number of UN humanitarian agencies, international organizations and local Yemeni organizations.
