University of Sindh to go on vacations from June 14

JAMSHORO: Registrar University of Sindh Jamshoro Muhammad Nawaz Narejo has announced that the summer vacation 2013 for teaching institutes, centers and departments of the varsity will commence from June 14 to August 16, 2013 where as the university will reopen on August 19, 2013.

In a circular issued here Thursday, he elucidated that the institutes, centers and departments will not observe the summer vacation till completion of their respective work if it is in process. He directed all the faculty members to submit their results of the semester examinations positively to their respective Directors and Chairpersons before proceedings of summer vacation 2013.

The Directors and Chairpersons of all the teaching institutes, centers and departments of the University of Sindh shall attend their offices twice a week i.e. on Monday and Tuesday during the summer vacation from 9.00 AM to 01.00 PM, the circular said.

According to circular, the Deans of all the faculties shall however remain on their duties as usual whereas the administrative and ministerial staff including clerk-cum-typists, laboratory assistants, internet operators, computer operators, laboratory attendants, security guards and peons will remain present on their duties routinely.

EXAM FORMS: Sindh University Controller of Annual Examinations Prof Dr Naeem Tariq Narejo has informed that the examination forms for appearing in the exams of B.A Regular/External, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Sc Home Economics Regular Part-I & II, M.A Previous & Final could be filled in by June 30 without late fees in the respective affiliated colleges.

In a press statement issued here from Public Relations Office, Controller said that the exams forms can be obtained from the offices of principals of all the concerned affiliated colleges and the same must be submitted till June 30 to ward off late fees.

According to controller, Rs 500 will be charged as late fee if some aspirants got his form filled in after the due date with effect from July 7 to July 15. Again Rs 1000 with effect from July 16 to 30, Rs 1500 from July 31 to August 15, Rs 2000 from August 16 to 30 and Rs 2500 will be charged as late.
