RATODERO: The home town of Bhutto leaders, Naundero, is suffering due to unprecedented power outage daily since last three days in this holy month of Ramadan as the electricity is supplied to Sukkur.

Waryal Shah, I/C of the grid station, said that he had been instructed from Sukkur to carry out 12-hour-power outage on both city feeders of Naundero out of 24 hours which means the people would pass their days and nights sleepless and they would not be able to earn livelihood due to incomplete rest.

The people who offer Taraveeh prayers will also suffer badly but worst affected are those indisposed people who are undergoing ailments including cardiac problems. Waryal Shah further told Reporters that he was unaware of the reasons of diverting electricity to Sukkur.

The people of Naundero have urged the federal water & power minister to abide by his words that no unannounced load shedding would be carried out anywhere in Pakistan except scheduled as the supply has improved considerably but step-motherly treatment was being meted out to the citizens of the home town of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

This all is being done in addition to the frequent tripping, extremely low voltage and usual faults due to which the power

outage period has increased manifold ever since the present government took over. Due to constant, low voltage & frequent tripping many costly home appliance and heavy duty motors of small industries have been burnt belonging to the tax payers for which the SEPCO authorities are responsible and should be taken to task by the government.

The people of Naundero have demanded immediate end of unannounced load shedding and tripping, improved full voltage and have warned that if these demands are not met forthwith protest movement will be launched which will continue till their just demands are accepted.
