Update News: Two killed in Karachi firing

KARACHI: Two persons were killed and one other injured in separate incidents of firing across Karachi, here on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, unidentified men gunned down a person near Lee Market area of the city in the limits of Napier police. The identity of victim could not be ascertained yet. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi CHK for further formalities.

In another incident, one Niaz Brohi, son of Faiz Muhammad Brohi, was shot dead in Gulshan-e-Maymar area, within the jurisdiction of Gulshan e Maymar police. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital ASH for an autopsy.

Police said the man received two bullets in upper torso and died on spot. The victim hailed from Balochistan province. The police suspect that he might be killed over personal enmity.

The police registered FIR number 75/2013 under section 302 and 34.

Moreover, a person named Danial Messiah s/o Anwar Messiah was critically injured in a firing incident near Ashraful Madaris in Pehalwan Goth area of the city. Messiah was shifted to JPMC Hospital.

Meanwhile, four separate incidents of road accident were also reported in the city, injuring five people including a woman.

Two persons sustained injuries after being hit by a car near Abdullah College in North Nazimabad area. The injured, identified as Naeem s/o Abdul Sattar 35 and Amjad s/o Rasheed 22, were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

A 35year old woman, Shabana w/o Abdul Rauf, was injured in a road accident near Hyderi Market. The resident of North Nazimabad Block-N was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In two more separate incidents, Amjad s/o Mohammad Sharif 35 and Mateen 52, sustained minor injuries in Gulbahar and North Karachi areas, respectively. Both of them were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
