Voluntary return & PB cases of Sub standard generators to Medical Colleges

Peshawar: NAB KP recovered embezzled amount from a company who supplied substandard generators to various Medical and Dental Colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The contract worth Rs.53.09 Million was awarded by Health Department KP.

During inquiry, a loss to the tune of Rs.9.857 Million was detected as the supplier supplied local substandard canopies of generators instead of imported one. The supplier firm during inquiry agreed to get into Voluntary Return with NAB KP and deposit the embezzled amount of Rs.9.857 Million.

Meanwhile, NAB KP Special Cell established to recover outstanding dues from Electricity Defaulters has so far recovered Rs.147.7 Million from 796 Commercial / Industrial / Agricultural units located in the jurisdiction of PESCO and TESCO.

The process of recovery is continued and defaulters are approaching NAB KP on
daily basis to deposit their outstanding dues.
