Islamabad: Secretary Ministry of Water and Power, Mr. Mohammad Younus Dagha while taking serious notice of the complaints regarding not updating the web-based electricity bills by Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) issued show cause notice to Additional DG IS, IESCO and officials in PITC.

The Secretary Water and Power directed the officials in IESCO and PITC to immediately ratify the issue and update all columns in the web-based electricity bills so that the consumers have full information about their monthly electricity bills.

It is important to mention here that the Ministry has taken effective steps to publish all details of surcharges, taxes, tariff, subsidy, fuel price adjustment and other related billing information on the electricity bills for all consumers.

The printing of these information has been widely appreciated and the consumers can easily calculate their monthly bills to ensure transparency.

The IESCO officials however clarified that on actual bills that are delivered to the consumers these informations are included.

The Secretary Water and Power directed to ensure immediate delivery of these bills to the consumers so that confusion is removed.
