Islamabad: According to met office mainly hot and dry weather with severe heatwave conditions is likely to persist in plain areas. However‚ rain with dust and thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of Rawalpindi‚ Islamabad‚ Gujranwala‚ Hazara and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. The highest temperature of 48 degree centigrade was recorded in Dadu on Monday‚ while 47 degree in Shaheed Benazirabad‚ Padidan‚ Jacobabad‚ Moenjodaro and Nurpoorthal.

The maximum temperature of some major cities; Islamabad‚ Peshawar 41 degrees centigrade‚ Lahore 45‚ Karachi and Quetta 35‚ Muzaffarabad 39 Gilgit 33 and Murree 29 degrees centigrade.
