Widow forcibly married to settle Karokari dispute

Ratodero: A widow was forcibly married near here to settle a dispute of Karokari involving his brother, said sources.

Forty years old woman belonging to Jarwar community, mother of four disabled children was married as compensation to save the life of his brother who was declared as ‘Karo’ three years ago at Khanwah village.

Sources r said that her brother Yasin Jarwar had kidnapped a married woman of the same village three years ago and to settle that issue a Jirga was held last night at the village in the jurisdiction of Naundero police station on Ratodero Naundero road. The Jirga unanimously decided that the sister of Yasin should be married to a 50yearsold man whose wife Yasin had abducted.

When Naundero police was contacted they said they had no knowledge about the Jirga or forcible marriage.
