Karachi: Pakistan skipper Misbahul Haq on Monday said that Pakistan has potentials and if plans would properly be executed then the team could excel and eventually clinch title of Champions Trophy in England next month.

“We have strong bowling attack as we have top class spinners and quality pacers like Muhammad Irfan and Junaid Khan. Moreover, I would say there are no favourites in the event and if we ably execute our plans then we could also win the title,” said the hopeful skipper on eve of leaving for Britain.

Pakistan would leave for Britain early on Tuesday and would play two one day games each against Ireland and Scotland before starting their campaign in the Champions Trophy from June 623.

Pakistan is placed in group B along with archrivals India, the West Indies and South Africa. Meanwhile, Australia, England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand are placed in group A.

Misbah said that Pakistan has very talented players and if they would play their respective roles up to the mark then Pakistan has the chances to clinch the coveted title.

He further said that the squad was selected keeping in mind the English conditions.
