Yom e Takbeer celebrated

QUETTA: Yom e Takbeer, May 28, the Day when Pakistan became nuclear state 15 years ago was celebrated with due enthusiasm Tuesday.

The day was marked by cutting of cakes and rallies in different parts of the province. Special Dua were also offered for security of Pakistan.

Pakistan has conducted atomic tests on May 28, 1998 in mountains of Chagai district to become first Islamic nuclear state. It made Pakistan’s defence invincible.

People offered nawafil and thanks giving prayers at the mosques and offered Dua for country’s stability and security.

Balochistan Mountain Association arranged a cycle rally from Quetta to Hanna Orak Valley. Seven cyclists took part in the rally and covered 20 Km distance. They paid tributes to Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for conducting atomic tests.
