One killed, 14 injured in Lahore blast

At least one person was killed and 14 injured in a blast in Johar Town area of Lahore on Wednesday.

According to CCPO Lahore, the investigation is underway and the experts of bomb disposal squad are looking into the matter to ascertain the cause of the blast.

The injured were later shifted to hospital.

One of the injured is in critical condition.

NDMA determined to take necessary steps to tackle floods in Monsoon Season

National Disaster Management Authority organized a Pre-Monsoon Preparedness Conference in Islamabad to review preparations for dealing with a possible monsoon situation.

The conference presided over by NDMA Chairman Lt Gen Akhtar Nawaz was attended by senior officials of national and provincial disaster management authorities besides, Armed Forces, National Highways Authority, Federal Flood Commission and WAPDA representatives.

The participants agreed to complete all necessary steps in a timely manner to deal with possible floods during the impending Monsoon Season.

337 Sahulat Bazaars to be established in Punjab

Punjab government has decided to establish 337 Sahulat Bazaars and Counters across the province to provide essential commodities to the people at subsidized rates.

Approval for establishment of these Bazaars was given at the provincial cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore.

The Chief Minister directed the cabinet committee for price control to take immediate steps for establishment of these Bazaars and Counters.

CPEC Projects being completed in a transparent manner in Punjab: Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that projects being carried out under China Pakistan Economic Corridor are being completed in an accelerated and transparent manner in the province.

Talking to Chairman CPEC Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, he said special economic zones are being established in Punjab wherein all the facilities are being provided to the Chinese investors.

On the occasion, Asim Saleem Bajwa expressed satisfaction over the pace of CPEC related projects in Punjab.
