MNAs discuss problems of their constituencies with Prime Minister

A delegation of Members of National Assembly called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today (Saturday), and discussed problems of their constituencies, ongoing development projects and budget affairs.

The delegation included Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib, Malik Aamir Dogar, Makhdoom Zain Qureshi, Aurangzeb Khichi, Nasir Khan Musa Zai, Jeye Prakash Harani, Lal Chand, Ramesh Kumar, Faiz-ul-Hassan Shah, Haji Imtiaz and Muhammad Yaqoob Shiekh.

India has badly failed to suppress will of Kashmiri people: AJK PM

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan says India has badly failed to suppress the will of Kashmiri people for their legitimate right to self-determination.

In a statement in Muzaffarabad today (Saturday), he said the true representatives of Kashmiri people are in jail and the Indian Prime Minister’s meetings with so-called Kashmiri leaders are meaningless.

Farooq Haider Khan said such meetings with the so-called Kashmiri leaders by Modi are aimed at hoodwinking the international community and diverting its attention from the deteriorating situation in the Indian illegally occupied Kashmir.

He said Kashmiris are determined and will continue their struggle till achievement of the goal of liberation from India.

He said Narendra Modi has turned the entire Indian illegally occupied Kashmir into a military cantonment and conceals the facts of systematic killings of Kashmiri people by the brute Indian forces.

Survey underway to determine beneficiaries of various Ehsaas programs: Sania

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar says a survey is in progress across the country to determine the beneficiaries of various Ehsaas programs.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Saturday, she said that under the Ehsaas umbrella, different programs have been launched for the socio-economic uplift of the downtrodden and weaker segments of the society.

She said that 95 percent of Ehsaas Programme survey has been completed until now to enrol the underprivileged people to bring them under a social safety net.

The Special Assistant said that the process of Ehsaas survey is impartial and based on merit without any political influence, as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PM discusses federal govt’s ongoing mega projects of Balochistan with MNAs

Members of National Assembly from Balochistan have called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad and discussed the matters related to annual budget and ongoing mega projects under his vision of special focus on province’s uplift.

The parliamentarians deliberated over the uplift of Balochistan’s agriculture sector under Agriculture Development Plan as well as education and health projects.

Meanwhile, more parliamentarians including State Minister Zartaj Gul, MNAs Dr Haider Ali, Sahibzada Sibghatullah, Mahboob Shah, Muhammad Bashir Khan, Sher Ali Arbab, Raja Khurrram, Shahzad Nawaz, Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, Sanaullah Mastikhel and Javed Iqbal Warraich also separately met the prime minister.

During the meeting, they discussed the issues pertaining to their respective constituencies as well as development projects.

KP Assembly approves four demands for grants of over Rs9bn

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in Peshawar approved the four demands of grant amounting more than nine billion rupees.

These demands for grants relating to the Provincial Assembly, Planning & Development, Finance and administration departments.

Responding to various cut-motions, the Provincial finance minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra says no single rupee has been lapsed during the last two fiscal years.

He said hundred percent development fund will be released on the first of next month which is a record in the history of budgetary processes in the country.

He stressed the departments to ensure timely spending instead of waiting for June.
