Balochistan govt to divide health sector for better results

The Government of Balochistan has decided to divide the health sector into two sectors primary and secondary health care, while other sector by the name of specialised health care and medical education for the purpose of improving its performance.

According to the official, emergency response centres are being established on important highways to provide first-aid treatment in cases of road accidents while its completion would cost more than three billion rupees.

He said two new hostels would be constructed at Bolan Medical College at a cost of more than 200 million rupees.

KP govt allocates Rs206bn for education sector: Tarakai

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Shahram Khan Tarakai said the government has allocated two hundred and six billion rupees for education sector.

This he said while inspecting under construction schools in district Swabi.

He said 2nd shift school programme is being started from next month to minimize dropout ratio and enhance female education.

The minister said more than 27 thousand teachers will be recruited during the financial year.

Sindh govt launches financial support programme for maternal health

Sindh government has launched a financial support programme for mother and child in Tharparker and Ummerkot districts.

The registration for this purpose is being commenced at the selected basic health units.

Under the programme, pregnant mothers will be registered in government health centres where free treatment facilities will be provided to them according to WHO standards.

Pregnant women will also be provided stipend to ensure that they may cover the expenses of traveling to the nearest health care center.

Govt gives independence to institutions: Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar says the government has given total independence to institutions and made appointments on merit.

He was talking to former Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim, who called on him in Lahore on Tuesday.

Usman Buzdar said Punjab government will take other provinces along in the journey of development.

Arbab Ghulam Rahim lauded Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s vision for presenting Punjab’s people-friendly annual budget for 2021-22.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar says Pakistan is facing challenges due to changing weather conditions in the region.

Addressing media persons in Lahore on Tuesday, he said under the Clean Water project, millions of people will get clean water facility by the end of this year in the province.

The Governor said the government has started Billion Tree Tsunami project to deal with climate change and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s project is being appreciated worldwide.
