FM, Romanian Counterpart Bogdan Aurescu discuss regional, international issues

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had a telephone conversation with his Romanian Counterpart Bogdan Aurescu, today (Tuesday).

In addition to reviewing bilateral relations, they also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Sharing Pakistan’s perspective, the Foreign Minister noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan in his recent visit to Moscow has regretted the latest situation between Russia and Ukraine and stressed that conflict was not in anyone’s interest, as they hit developing countries the hardest economically.

He underlined the indispensability of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve disputes.

The Foreign Minister conveyed his appreciation for the assistance rendered by the Romanian side in the evacuation process. He looked forward to continued and swift facilitation in border crossing of the Pakistani students and community members being evacuated.

The Romanian Foreign Minister assured of Romania’s full support and cooperation in the evacuation process.

The two Ministers agreed to remain in close contact.

Army Chief vows to make all-out efforts for peaceful environment in Balochistan

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa says peace and prosperity of Balochistan is the top priority and Pakistan Army will do all to provide peaceful environment for population centric socio-economic projects in the province.

According to ISPR, he was talking with a large number of representatives from all segments of society from District Kech including local leaders/notables, tribal elders, students, lawyers and women in University of Turbat, today (Tuesday).

He said youth of Balochistan is very talented and must capitalize on the available opportunities being created for their education and skill development.

Earlier, General Bajwa was given detailed briefing on security situation of Balochistan and border management measures being ensured.

He appreciated morale and operational preparedness of the troops and showed satisfaction on successful operations against terrorists.
