WATKINS WELLNESS EXPANDS INTO SAUNA CATEGORY THROUGH THE ACQUISITION OF SAUNA360

Vista, California, July 31, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Watkins Wellness, a leader in hot tubs and aquatic fitness systems, today announced the expansion of its portfolio of personal well-being products and entry into the sauna category as a result of the pending acquisition of Sauna360 Group Oy (“Sauna360”) by Watkins Wellness’ parent company, Masco Corporation. Sauna360 is a leading global manufacturer of sauna solutions, and its portfolio of products includes traditional, infrared, and wood-burning saunas as well as steam showers, rooms and generators. These products are sold primarily in the United States, Europe and throughout the rest of the world under the Tylö, Helo, Kastor, Finnleo, and Amerec brands. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter, subject to regulatory approval.

Russian Wheat Shipment Reaches Karachi

The inaugural shipment of wheat, imported from Russia by the private sector, arrived at the Karachi Port on Sunday.

The government has allowed the import of wheat through both public and private channels to meet the shortfall of three million tons despite this year’s bumper crop. It’s the first vessel of Russian wheat to be imported by the private sector under this policy.

The private sector managed to secure the wheat at a cost of $279 per metric ton, which is expected to lead to a reduction in the ex-mill price of the commodity to approximately Rs. 92 per kg.

Back in March, a Russian vessel carrying 50,000 tonnes of wheat had docked at Gwadar Port. The decision to import wheat from Russia was taken by the government in response to the wheat shortage and the flour crisis across the country.

Zaman Khan Bowls an Unplayable Last Over in Global T20 Canada [Video]

Emerging Pakistani fast bowler, Zaman Khan has been displaying phenomenal bowling performances in the ongoing third edition of the Global T20 in Canada.

While representing Toronto Nationals, the right-arm pacer once again breathed fire in the last over of a rain-affected encounter against Montreal Tigers yesterday.

During the 17th game, which was reduced to six overs due to rain, the Kashmir-born pacer conceded just 19 runs in his two-over spell at CAA Centre, Brampton.

The Nationals suffered a 23-run defeat as they failed to chase 78 runs thanks to Kaleem Sana and Abbas Afridi for their magnificent overs, conceding one and six runs, respectively.

Last week, the 21-year-old pacer defended 13 runs in the crucial last over of the match against Vancouver Knights in the second encounter of the tournament.

Zaman has been regarded as the death overs specialist in the shorter formats, as he has already defended low scores many times in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

It is worth noting that Zaman Khan has been selected by the Manchester Originals for the upcoming third edition of the 100-ball cricket tournament, The Hundred.

CDA Issues Updated List of All Legal Housing Societies in Islamabad

In a move to provide essential information to potential property buyers in the federal capital, the CDA has recently compiled and updated data on housing societies.

For private housing schemes, the civic agency follows a two-tier approval process. Initially, it grants technical approval to the Layout Plan (LOP) of the project. Subsequently, the No Objection Certificates (NOC) is issued after fulfilling all the necessary formalities. Once the NOC is obtained, sponsors can proceed with the development work and the sale of plots.

It is important to note that Zone-4 allows agro-farming and residential housing schemes as per the provisions of the ICT (Zoning) Regulation, 1992 (amended in 2010), and permissions for such schemes are granted by the CDA after completing all the required formalities.

The civic agency has taken a strong stance against the marketing and advertising of housing projects without the proper NOC from the CDA.

Such practices are deemed illegal and unauthorized. Advertisers and marketing agencies have been strictly restrained from misleading advertising of illegal housing schemes.

Furthermore, the sponsors of these schemes have been explicitly directed to refrain from marketing and developing housing projects without the necessary NOC from the CDA.

Various sections of society have expressed concern over the presence of illegal housing societies, highlighting the significant risks they pose to individuals looking to invest in real estate in Islamabad.
