Govt providing full cooperation, facilities to investors in Sindh: Governor Tessori

President of Fincantieri Group of Italy General Claudia Graziano called on Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori at the Governor House in Karachi on Sunday.

The investment opportunities in Sindh, Pak-Italy relationships and other matters of mutual interest were discussed.

Governor Sindh said the government is providing all possible facilities to the investors in the province.

He invited the Fincantieri group to invest in the vast business opportunities present in the province especially Karachi, which is an economic hub of the country.

Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferraarese and Consul General Danilo Glurdanella were also present on this occasion.

Govt taking steps to boost foreign investment in tourism industry: Wasi Shah

The government is taking significant steps to enhance foreign investment in the tourism industry.

Talking to a private news channel, Special Assistant on Tourism Wasi Shah said efforts are being made to promote and showcase Pakistan’s rich tourism heritage at all international forums with active participation of public-private stakeholders.

He said government is also taking measures to boost investors’ confidence to explore tourism potential of Pakistan, which will promote soft image of the country at international level.

Replying to a question, the Special Assistant said Pakistan has great potential to attract a huge number of foreign tourists and expatriate Pakistanis to explore and witness the country’s culture, ecotourism and religious tourism.

Efforts afoot to find viable solution to issue of electricity bills: PM

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar says the government’s Finance and Power teams are working round the clock to find out a viable and durable solution of electricity bills issue.

In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, he said in this regard the execution plan for proper implementation of energy conservation will be revealed soon.

The caretaker Prime Minister said efforts are also afoot to improve the economic and social net of the country which would be beneficial for our middle and underprivileged class.

Categorically refuting the impression to prolong his stay as the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar ul Haq Kakar said he will never violate the law of the land.

Highlighting the importance of independent judiciary in a state, he said the government will fully enforce the decision of higher judiciary regarding the conduct of election and will also assist the Election Commission in this regard.

Clarifying the government’s upfront policy against terrorism, the caretaker Prime Minister said the state has both the tools to deal with banned organizations.

Regarding restoration of relations with India, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said the relations cannot become normal with India without resolving the core issue of Kashmir.

He said Kashmir is an unresolved issue and the UN Security Council resolutions on plebiscite should be implemented.

KP Governor reviews ongoing work in historic schools of Peshawar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has directed to improve the education standard of the schools according to the advance standards.

He said this while chairing a meeting to review ongoing work in historic schools of the Peshawar.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor stressed to complete the construction and renovation work according to the historic significance of these educational institutions and assured his cooperation.

Met Office predicts hot, humid weather

Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in plain areas of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad and Peshawar twenty-five degree centigrade, Lahore and Karachi twenty-eight, Quetta twenty-three, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad twenty and Murree sixteen degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy chances of rain and wind with thundershower weather is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Palwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla while partly cloudy in Leh.

Srinagar, Pulwama and Shopian seventeen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-six, Leh ten, Anantnag and Baramulla eighteen degree centigrade.
