PMD predicts dry weather in most parts of country

Dry weather is likely to prevail over most parts of the country, while hot in southern parts during the next twelve hours.

However, rain-thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan.

Islamabad fifteen degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-two, Karachi twenty-seven, Peshawar eighteen, Quetta twelve, Gilgit fourteen, Murree thirteen and Muzafarabad sixteen degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula.

Srinagar, thirteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-one, Leh four, Pulwama, Anantnag and Baramula twelve and Shopian eleven degree centigrade.

Ibrahim Hassan vows to bring foreign investment in mining sector in Punjab

Caretaker Punjab Minister of Mines and Minerals Ibrahim Hassan Murad vowed to bring foreign investment in mining sector in Punjab.

Chairing a meeting in Lahore, he said there are innumerable investment opportunities in Punjab which need to be properly communicated to the investors.

He said mining will move towards open auction to end the monopoly of companies and avoid irregularities.

Elements involved in terrorist activities to be dealt with iron hands: Jan Achakzai

Caretaker Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai has said that elements involved in terrorist activities would be dealt with iron hands.

Addressing a press conference in Quetta on Wednesday, he said provincial government will also take action against illegal foreign citizens to ensure implementation on apex committee decisions.

He added that no one would be allowed to cross our borders without passport.

The Information Minister said Afghan citizens have been involved in terrorist activities in the country.

Punjab Cabinet to launch extensive crackdown on criminal gangs, mafias

A meeting of Punjab Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Rawalpindi has decided to launch an extensive crackdown on criminal gangs and mafias operating within private housing schemes.

The provincial cabinet also resolved to streamline the issuance of NOCs for businesses, ensuring a smoother process across various departments.

The Chief Minister emphasized the expeditious completion of Rawalpindi Ring Road project.

The cabinet approved to commence the Kachahri Chowk Remodeling project. Funds were allocated for the rehabilitation of three stations of Rawalpindi and Islamabad Metro Bus Service, which had suffered damage during May 9 events.

The Cabinet also formally approved Rawalpindi Safe City Project.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 kicks off in India on Thursday

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 kicks off in India, tomorrow.

In the opening match of mega cricket event, defending champion England will take on New Zealand in Ahmedabad tomorrow while Pakistan will play its first match against Netherlands on Friday at Hyderabad.

The 13th edition of the Men’s ODI World Cup comprises of 45 league matches and three knockout matches.

Ten teams, including Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka will compete against each other in the tournament
